Ireland’s biggest art fair

Drawing from fashion

Art Source, Ireland’s biggest art fair, is taking place in the RDS in Dublin 4, on November 14th and 15th.

David Uda (Duda) is a fashion designer turned poster printmaker whose pieces can be seen in restaurants and retail outlets all over Dublin – Coppinger Row, Whitefriar Grill, Damson Diner, Ukiyo, Clodagh's Kitchen and Toni & Guy – as well as The Bailey Bar & Brasserie in Manhattan's financial district. His colourful easy-on-the-eye pieces (like the one shown here) are reminiscent of Banksy and Warhol. Drawing inspiration from the female form, Duda was in 2000 named Young Fashion Designer of the Year by the Grafton Academy and is currently represented by An Clachan Gallery, Donegal; The Riverside Gallery, Wicklow; wine bar Bagots Hutton, Dublin 2, and restaurant/bar Pygmalion.
