The Bram Stoker visitor's centre is to be located on the grounds of the Westwood sports and leisure club on Clontarf Road in Clontarf, Dublin 3.
The sports and leisure facility, which has a 50 metre swimming -pool and the largest gym in Europe, is across the road from the author's 1847 birthplace and a park named after him.
The 4,000 sq ft centre will commemorate the life and work of the author of the world's best selling novel Dracula will feature a museum and memorabilia showing Stoker's influence on the cinema.
Stoker's Dracula Organisation plans to run an annual summer school and a junior vampire club for younger members from the centre, which is expected to be finished next year.
