Several houses have recently sold on Belmont Avenue, one of two main thoroughfares that connect Ranelagh’s Sandford Road with Donnybrook’s Morehampton Road. Number 43 is situated on the left as you drive down towards Donnybrook. A well-maintained period redbrick, it is accessed via a set of granite steps to hall level where there are ceiling heights of 13ft. There is on-street disc parking, but there are double yellow lines directly outside number 43 so you’ll have to park up somewhat away from the house. This is an effort to try and calm the two-way traffic that clutters the road to and from St Mary’s Nationals School at school times.

The house two doors down, number 39, recently sold for €1.05 million.
