Curtain call in new scheme

Knight Frank (formerly HT Meagher O'Reilly) is releasing the final stage of a development of three- and four-bedroom houses on the instruction of receivers Kavanagh Fennell

Castlelyon, in Newcastle village, north Co Dublin, comprises 56 homes, including the 16 properties in this last phase, several of which have tenants and earn an average monthly income of €1,100.

Seven houses remain on the market. They all come with white gloss kitchens, appliances, polished wood floors, wood fireplaces, partially tiled bathrooms and fitted wardrobes in all bedrooms.

Prices start from €170,000 for a 90sq m (973 sq ft) three-bedroom mid-terrace; from €185,000 for a three-bedroom end-of-terrace of the same size; from €200,000 for a similarly sized three-bedroom semi-d; from €230,000 for a four-bedroom 119sq m (1,283sq ft) mid-terrace over three floors; and from €300,000 for a four-bedroom detached 130 sq m (1,399sq ft) house over two storeys.

BER ratings range from B1 to C1. Each house has a large solar panel to heat water and a heat recovery system for radiators. All properties come with a compost unit in the garden and have rendered facades.

The scheme is a short walk to the village, primary school and local shops.
