Earlier this year Morris & Co launched Archive 3, a series of prints adapted from established wallpaper motifs fabricated by William Morris, the godfather of modern print. The fabrics include Pimpernel, Morris Seawood and The Brook by Alison Gee. Kitchen in 1,600 colours is handled with care

Santos is a Spanish brand of kitchens. Pictured is the contemporary Intra, a design that can be ordered in any of 1,600 RAL colours. Available exclusively from Baldoyle-based Lomi Design (01-839 7001 lomi.ie) it comes with profile handles that can be ordered to match the unit colour or in a contrasting or tonal shade. You can also choose from a wide range of wood, laminate, matt or high gloss lacquers. The design includes extra deep, high-capacity drawers that offer 30 per cent more storage capacity than standard-sized kitchen units. The kitchen pictured is in snow white and, including island and tall units but excluding worktops and appliances, costs €26,000.

Trending . . . shout about your creativity

Calling all interior designers, architects, set designers, window dressers and visual merchandisers. Tomorrow, September 13th, is the closing date for entries to this year’s IDI Awards.

The awards cover all aspects of design, including residential and commercial interiors, exhibition design, visual merchandising and display and scenography, according to Mary Doherty managing director of Red dog and chairman of the IDI.

Pictured is last year’s winner in the commercial interiors category, a playroom at Crumlin Children’s Hospital for Alice’s Wonderland Foundation designed by Plus Architecture.

To qualify for this year’s awards, work must have been completed between August 1st, 2014 and August 31st, 2015. This means it must have been launched, published, manufactured, constructed, developed, or printed within that timeframe.

A name in the frame game

It's run by Michael Hennigan, who uses the moniker Rubio. He has framed everything from rugby jerseys for players, including Jamie Heaslip, to pop memorabilia. Prices for small fames start from €15.
