ESTATE AGENTS all over the land are having to diversify if they want to survive the worst property market in living memory.
One Midlands agent, Liam Farrell, who’s chairman of the Douglas Newman Good franchise operation nationwide, has decided to turn his hobby of collecting antiques into a sideline, introducing Farrell Fine Art Antiques. His first auction takes place in the Landmark Hotel, Carrick-on-Shannon next Monday evening and includes paintings – works by Percy French, Maurice Wilks and Brian Ballardand many others – jewellery, furniture and some vintage watches including a 1930s Rolex. The catalogue can be viewed online at www.farrellfineart.ie.
