Enter the Young Collectors’ Competition

Autographs, stamps, coins, postcards, vintage toys, comic-books and sports memorabilia are among the many categories of interest to young collectors. Now’s your chance to share that enthusiasm with a wider audience and win the Young Collector of the Year award for 2013.

For the second year, The Irish Antique Dealers Association (IADA) and MyAntiques.ie, owned by The Irish Times, are looking for Ireland's best young collector. The winner will be awarded €1,000 and have their collection featured in the newspaper.

Last year's inaugural competition was won by James O Floinn (11) from Monkstown, Co Dublin, for his collection of historical military and political memorabilia including a card signed by Éamon de Valera
and a cheque signed by Terence MacSwiney.

The 2013 competition is open to anyone aged under 18 and will be judged by an expert panel comprising IADA president, George Stacpoole, antiques dealer Niall Mullen and The Irish Times property editor, Madeleine Lyons.
