Morgan O'Driscoll, online Irish Art auction, March 11th: Louis le Brocquy's The Flower Seller South Anne Street Christmas Eve, which sold for €18,000 in 2007 achieved €4,000 (€4,000-€6,000). The self-portrait of Irish figurative artist Mark "Rasher" Kavanagh sold for €1,200, and the David Bowie face masks achieved €1,400 (€500-€700).

Adam's, St Stephen's Green Dublin, Works on Paper, March 12th: Lucas Van Leyden's copper plate etchings sold for €3,000 (€3,000-€5,000). Samuel Beckett's Whoroscope, €1,900 (€2,000-€3,000), and his Stirrings Still achieved €1,300 (€1,200-€1,600). Lot 149, Antiques de Rome by Desgodetz sold for €2,300 (€ 1,000-€1,500).

Saturday, March 23rd: Lynes and Lynes, Carrigtohill, Co Cork. An executor's sale of the recently sold De Courcey House in Kinsale will offer a fine selection of furniture and paintings from the Georgian property to include, lot 225: a set of Cork mahogany dining chairs (€3,000-€4,000). Of nautical interest are two ships chairs and a ships library table from the White Star liner RMS Celtic, which ran aground in Cork harbour in 1928 – the chairs have an estimate of €200-€300 each and the mahogany table €200-€300. Wednesday, March 27th: O'Reillys Auction Rooms, Francis Street, Dublin 8 The monthly sale of fine jewels, silver and watches will feature over 681 lots to include a selection of eternity rings and a large selection of loose stones. See oreillysfineart.com

Wednesday, March 27th: Bonhams, Knightsbridge, London Fine Books Atlases and Manuscripts sale will offer lot 28, a letter announcing the expulsion of Robert Emmet and fellow students from Trinity College in 1798, for being members of treasonable societies with two lists of all 19 expelled (€1,200-€1,700). Lot 261 is a typescript draft, with autograph revisions and corrections, of The Words upon the Window Pane, signed and inscribed by WB Yeats on the title page (€2,300-€4,700).
