For those in search of a loose diamond – the Christmas season is the most popular time to propose – John Weldon is auctioning what he calls the perfect diamond; a one carat loose stone, with a HRD cert verifying its D colour – the highest colour grade possible – which is in fact colourless, is Loupe clean, meaning it has the highest clarity, is expected to fetch between €10,000 and €12,000. The highlight of the auction is an Hermès, Matte Himalaya Niloticus Crocodile Birkin 35 handbag, with 18 carat white gold and diamond hardware (€112,000–€168,000). Also included is a rare Louis Vuitton Explorer Trunk from 1892, expected to fetch between €67,000 and €112,000.
