Fancy a new home in Meath for €100?

Meath GAA has come up with a clever wheeze to raise funds for the Royal county’s grounds in Navan. It plans to raffle three newly built family homes over the next 15 months in a bid to raise €1.5 million towards the redevelopment of Páirc Tailteann into a 21,000-seat stadium.

The "Royal House Draw" is being run in association with Irish publicly quoted development firm Glenveagh Properties. The three-bed semi-detached houses up for grabs are part of Glenveagh's Cois Glaisin scheme in south Navan and are worth an estimated €275,000 each. Tickets will go on sale for €100 apiece, with the first draw due to take place on October 31st.

Popular scheme

Located in Johnstown, outside Navan, Cois Glaisin is a popular scheme of two-, three- and four-bed energy-efficient homes that launched in late 2018 with units priced between €225,000 and €320,000. Meath GAA plans to promote the initiative among the expat network in the UK and the US.

Those feeling lucky enough to enter all three draws will be rewarded with a special discount rate in advance of €250. Tickets will be available initially from local clubs and online at royalhousedraw.com, while an incentive scheme is in place for individual clubs to drive ticket sales. The maximum number of tickets sold per draw will be capped at 12,000.

The official launch of the draw took place on Tuesday evening in Navan O’Mahony’s GAA centre with representatives of all 59 Meath clubs in attendance.
