DUNNES Stores will be anchor tenant in a new shopping centre being built in Mullingar, Co Westmeath. The multiple will occupy 68,000 square feet - one of the largest supermarkets in the midlands - which it has acquired from the developer, Derry McPhillips. There will be up to 30 other shop units in the centre, which is due to open before next summer. Joint letting agents, Hamilton Osborne King and Jimmy MeDonnell, are seeking rent of around £25 per square foot for standard sized shops which will be located in a tax designated area.
