House buyers regularly complain about the purple prose so beloved of estate agents but they mostly complain at bus stops and dinner parties and on the radio, but not to the right people, namely the Advertising Standards Authority of Ireland (ASAI). However, one complaint about an estate agency did come before the ASAI this month and Jackson-Stops MacCabe found themselves in the dock over a house in Ballywaltrim Lane in Bray. They added Kilcroney into the address and someone complained that houses on Ballywaltrim Lane weren't entitled to the posh addition. The ASAI, however, ruled that Jackson-Stops did not intend to mislead.
