IT’S BEEN over a month now since Duninga House in Goresbridge, Co Kilkenny went on the market along with its 46 acres and 14 holiday cottages.
With the property being sold on the orders of ACC bank at a guide price of €1 million for the lot, joint agents Savills and Dominic Daly of Cork were busy fielding calls from all over the world for what seemed to be a great deal.
Potential buyers were given until the beginning of this week to submit bids. This they have now done, according to David Ashmore of Savills who isn’t saying how many serious bids have been received.
“There was a huge amount of interest in this, but as is often the case, when you get down to it, it’s one that is actually going to suit only a small number of people.”
He says that it is over to the seller now to decide on who the new owner will be, and that is likely to take a week or two more. Watch this space.
