Co Wexford: from €250,000: The first phase of a development of 85 homes in Gorey will go on sale tomorrow, writes Kate McMorrow
Apartments and duplexes go on sale tomorrow at Gorey, Co Wexford, through the Hooke & MacDonald agency.
Show apartments open for viewing on Friday at noon. This will be for 38 units in phase one at Station Court, under way on The Avenue which is almost a continuation of Main Street. The train station is across the road, hence the scheme's title.
Prices start at €250,000 for good-sized two-bedroom apartments of 78 sq m (840 sq ft). Three-bed apartments of 96 sq m (1,030 sq ft) cost from €290,000. Duplex units of 116 sq m (1,245 sq ft) are priced from €320,000.
When completed, the entire development will have a total of 85 units and an on-site creche.
Work is advanced on a new town centre shopping mall on The Avenue which will include Dunnes Stores as its anchor tenant. The new 743sq m (8,000sq ft) branch will be its largest in the south-east.
This phase at Station Court will be ready to move into by spring 2007, according to the selling agent, with the entire 84-unit development completed by the following October. Pat Neville & Sons are the developers.
A variety of apartment and duplex styles are on offer at Station Court and four show units are on view.
Facades are a mix of brick and painted render and the L-shaped apartment block has an attractive turret at one end.
Duplexes are placed above own-door two-bedroom apartments and accessed via a flight of steps.
These have a good-sized kitchen/diningroom and separate sittingroom opening to a large terrace.
On the next floor are three double bedrooms and two bathrooms.
Standard features throughout include kitchen and bathroom wall tiling and wardrobes.
Kitchen appliances are not part of the price. Parking is included, however.
