Cork developers Gable Holdings are to embark on a £22 million scheme in Limerick city which will include a car-park, retail units and apartments. The development will be concentrated on Corkmarket Square, a 1.5-acre block which is in a tax designated area. It is close to the newly developed Cruise Street retail area. The scheme will include 5,000 square feet of offices; a multi-storey car-park; retail units, which will be sold at £100 per square foot; restaurants on ground and first floors, and 36 apartments with prices starting in the mid£50,000s. Gable Holdings spent six months assembling the site from 28 different owners. The company is also to build 230 houses at Annacotty, Limerick.
