Malahide: from €475,000 Malahide's immense popularity as a place to live will continue to help sales at Robswall on the eastern fringe of the village where another 15 houses are being released for sale today by Gannon Homes.
All 110 apartments and houses in the first phase of the scheme were sold within days, partly because of the superb coastal location and the dramatic sea views.
The €175 million development, the largest since the marina was built, is located on a 38 acres of sloping land adjoining a planned 90-acre open park which will occupy most of the coastal strip between Malahide and Portmarnock.
Sherry FitzGerald New Homes expects a high level of interest when it releases for sale 15 further houses today which will be ready to move into early in 2005. All of them will have private gardens.
Two-bedroom homes with 84 sq m (904 sq ft) are priced from €475,000; three-bedroom homes with 96 to 110 sq m (1,033/1,184 sq ft) will cost from €510,000 to €580,000 while four-bedroom mews houses with 129 to 131 sq m (1,389 /1,410 sq ft) will be available from €645,000 to €685,000.
Two showhouses, opening to the public for the first time this week, will underline the high specification available in all the homes. Kitchens are particularly striking with granite worktops, Alna kitchens which will put some of the best known Irish kitchen manufacturers to shame, and a range of integrated electrical appliances.
The overall design by architects Conroy Crowe Kelly will ensure that Robswall settles down quickly in a lovely mature site.
