Writing in The Irish Times this week, Áine Kenny reports on how bullying in the workplace is a serious issue, and one that is often not taken seriously enough by employers. The problem is common in Ireland, and, according to a recent study, is costing the economy a huge amount of money each year.
More importantly, it comes at a cost for workers’ health – both mentally and physically. One woman said her experience of bullying while at work was “ absolutely horrific. The effect it has on you is unbelievable.”
We would like to hear about your experience of workplace bullying, answering questions such as:
What was said or done?
What did you do about it?
What did your employer do?
What was the ultimate outcome and were you satisfied?
You can use this form to submit your experiences. If you like your contribution to be anonymous, please indicate this in the form.
