Get Running 10km Sign up now

We’re delighted to announced that Get Running 10km is now open for sign-ups and the course will begin on April 6th.

When you start running, 10km can be quite a psychological barrier – suddenly you are in double figures.

But it’s a barrier that’s well worth breaking through. Ask any runner what their first 10km race was and the chances are they will remember it fondly. The ability to run 10km opens up all sorts of possibilities and a whole range of events around the country.

So how do you know if you are ready to start our course? You should be able to run 30 minutes relatively comfortably and, ideally, you are currently doing that a few times a week.

You’ll need to commit to running three times a week – twice during the week with a longer session at the weekend.

You'll receive lots of support from Mary Jennings, the running coach who presented our extremely popular beginners Get Running course.

Every Sunday you’ll get an email with links to a training plan and video explaining what you need to do that week.

You will also be supported with regular online Q&A sessions where you can put questions to Mary and other featured guests.

We’ll also be publishing articles here every week to inspire and support you along the way.
