Following a debate on the subject of dogs on beaches, county councillors in Kerry have supported restrictions on dog access to 14 blue-flag beaches. The restrictions will apply only to the monitored blue flag areas of these beaches, and some councillors questioned whether this was either practical (if a dog can foul one part of beach but not another, what's the point?) or just (given dogs are "family members"). Do you support restrictions on dogs on Irish beaches? What practical measures could be introduced to ensure safety and comfort of beach users, while balancing the rights of dog owners?
