Irish parents abroad: Will your children return for college?

Did you know that students who have spent 2+ years outside the EU pay huge fees?

Students who have lived outside the EU for more than two of the past five academic years are liable for "non-EU fees" of between €8,000 and €20,000 a year in Ireland, depending on the course and institution.

We want to hear from parents of Irish-born children, and students themselves. Were you aware of the potential fees? Will the rule impact you? Has it deterred you or your child from returning to Ireland to study?
