Emigrants: What’s ‘stuck in your craw’ about Ireland?

We want to hear from readers abroad on their solutions to Irish problems

A group of Irish artists living in Berlin have organised a new festival, Craw, to explore what's "stuck in their craw" about Ireland. As festival partner, Irish Times Abroad would like to hear from Irish emigrants all over the world about what's stuck in your craw - from small everyday things about life in Ireland that may have irritated you, to the big social issues such as housing, childcare and healthcare.

As co-founder Dee Mulrooney says, the festival "is not about beating the same drum or whinging or moaning, it's about sucking out the puss, cleaning the wound, letting it go and moving on". So we want to hear solutions too. How would you fix the problem? Are there examples of better functioning systems where you live now that could be adopted by Ireland?

You can contribute (max 300 words) using this form. Please include a few lines about yourself - where you are from originally, when you emigrated and why, where you live now and what you do there - and attach a photograph if you have one.

A selection of responses will be published in advance of the Craw festival next week.
