Vintage treasures

Up a laneway in Fairview

Up a laneway in Fairview, Quack and Dirk is a treasure trove of vintage finds and handmade items founded by Deirdre Mahon, a sports science graduate who went on to study fashion design, followed by a stint in retail.

Her shop is a converted garage and it is open from Wednesday to Saturday, leaving her time to source accessories and fabrics (in London and Paris), so there is always something new for her regular “quacker” customers. This look,“Endless Summer Take Me There”, is photographed by Ruth Maria Murphy and comprises a striped skater-skirt €55, a leather-look top €35, and sunglasses €12.
