Children’s merino wool range

Helen Thornton, who grew up on a farm in New Zealand but now lives in Dublin, keeps her connection with her native country alive with a range of children's clothing made in New Zealand from merino wool in a variety of colours which she designed herself. Snowgrass Merino Clothing features machine-washable tops, leggings and beanies in superfine merino.

It is named after the hardy snowgrass tussock found high in the southern alps of New Zealand which, like merino sheep, thrives in hardy conditions.

The wool keeps the sheep warm in cool temperatures and cool when the climate heats up and the clothing has the same benefits being durable, lightweight, fire and odour resistant and biodegradable. See snowgrassmerino.ie.
