Fashion: Shopping in style this Christmas

This being the second last weekend before Christmas and the height of the shopping frenzy, here’s how to do it in ladylike style before panic sets in.

There’s more than one reason to dress up out hunting for gifts, particularly when there may be a date at end of the day – to meet a friend, partner, relative or a work colleague for a festive drink or dinner.

Little luxuries make a statement – a fake fur collar that adds a look of opulence to a winter coat or jacket, a jaunty cat hat or a flamboyant scarf on a warm double-breasted coat.
