Irish Rail services from Newbridge to Dublin are experiencing significant disruption due to an early signalling issue in Co Kildare.

While the signalling issue has now been rectified, knock-on delays are running up to 75 minutes.

Services between Hazelhatch and Heuston stations were affected, leading to initial delays.

The line includes stops at Adamstown, Kishoge, Clondalkin and Fonthill, Park West and Cherry Orchard before finishing at Heuston Station.

Trains to Heuston from Portlaoise, Carlow, Waterford, Galway and Cork are all delayed.

Irish Rail reminded customers that Leap cards can be used on all Transport for Ireland (TFI) public transport. However, no relief buses were provided for passengers impacted by the disruption.
