Remaining “indie” for more than 30 years isn’t necessarily great for the bank balance, but for Yo La Tengo (above), an act often referred to as the quintessential critics’ band it needn’t necessarily be a major problem. ART

Spring Watching Pavilion

Void, Patrick St, Derry Until Nov 14 derryvoid.com

Featuring 14 artists, Spring Watching Pavilion is the first major exhibition of contemporary Vietnamese art in Ireland. These artists work mainly in lens-based media and participatory/socially engaged ways. Their works reflect on the richness and complexity of contemporary Vietnamese life. The title is from a poem of the same name by the 19th- century Vietnamese poet Ho Xuan Huong.
