THE next three weeks mark the last Parisian phase of L'Imaginaire Irlandais, with playwrights Tom Murphy, Sebastian Barry and Marina Carr attending rehearsed readings of their work at the Comedie Francaise Irish music is to be heard on Radio France, culminating with a concert on Friday night, and a day of Irish music on Saturday week work by composers Jane O'Leary, Raymond Deane, Philip Martin, Gerald Barry, Ian Wilson, John Kinsella and Gerard Victory will feature in the Musique Pluriel series.

On Friday night at the Maison de La Radio there will be a screening of the silent film Irish Destiny with a specially commissioned piece of music by Michael O Suilleabhain, performed by the composer with the Irish Chamber Orchestra.

Meanwhile, L'Imuginaire Irlandais continues to fill French glossies with frenzied adoration of all things Irish. Elle magazine has a superb interview with President Robinson, Muse art has pages on "cet ile mysterieux", and Cuisines Du Bout Du Monde even has a full page spread on how to make tea "a l'irlandaise".
