For most people, there is no introduction necessary to one of Ireland’s best-known indie bands, but in the absence of a studio album, The Frames have to mark their 25th anniversary somehow.
This 12-track collection gives a well-rounded account of the Dublin band, with songs like the wistfully understated Seven Day Mile and Star Star, the swoonsome Lay Me Down and the punchy jewel in their crown, Revelate, as well as new track None But I.
Fans may question the omission of songs like Pavement Tune in favour of their Pink Floyd (The Cost) and Radiohead (Ship Caught in the Bay) moments, but the tracklisting is faithful to a band who've successfully navigated their career with few compromises.
Nice to meet you. Again.
