Artist: Various
Genre: Electronic
Label: Night Time Stories

Jon Hopkins has emerged as a master of the electronica form over the past few years.

The British musician and producer has latterly established himself as something other than a surrogate Brian Eno.

Overseeing the latest volume in the always invigorating Late Night Tales series isn't so much a challenge for Hopkins as a release valve.

And so we have a personal selection of beautiful dimming- of-the-day tunes, from previously unreleased tracks (Sleepers Beat Theme by Ben Lukas Boysen) and covers (Yeasayer's I Remember by Hopkins himself) to commercially unheralded singer-songwriters (Alela Diane's Lady Divine) and forgotten gems (Daniell in the Sea by Jonsi & Alex; Hey Maggy by David Holmes).
