There must have been times over the past few years when friends of Hugo Gruzman and James Lyell wondered what the hell was keeping their debut album. Four years since the classy Crave You introduced the Sydney duo to all and sundry and eight further singles down the road, Flight Facilities' first record finally rolls out. It's an interesting study in how the pair's approach to dance music has encapsulated quite a lot of sounds over time. Sunshine and Hold Me Down come out dancing from behind rare groove and funk lines, while Apollo and Heart Attack are well-honed house and techno snappers. Flight Facilities are at their best on Two Bodies, which zips between pop and dance in a manner clearly in the ether at the moment, though it's telling that such old familiar hits as Crave You and Clair de Lune provide familiar tones. flightfacilities.com
