Artist: Eggs Laid By Tigers
Genre: Jazz
Label: ILK

Here's one that got in under the perimeter fence. Eggs Laid By Tigers take their name from a phrase Dylan Thomas used to describe his early poems. And, in common with said eggs, the Danish trio's sound is a curious mix of ingredients. Like most good musicians these days, they are doing their level best to confound the categorisers. But the quality of the playing, and their presence on adventurous Copenhagen label ILK, will draw many a curious ear. As well as their name, ELBT get all their lyrics from the great Welsh bard, relishing in the textures of Thomas's language, crafting lo-fi poppy confections of guitars and voices that recall early Pink Floyd or late Beatles. Tasty eggs, laid by what are clearly very talented tigers. eggslaidbytigers.com
