A Sagittariun: Dream Ritual

Those who suffer from maskaphobia should look away now. A Sagittariun is a Bristol-based producer and experienced dance music cove with 20 years of labels and releases under his belt who chooses masked anonymity for this project. You can certainly sense his experience when it comes to pressing buttons in the tremendous turns and twists taken on Elastic Dreams. It's an album going back to the dreamscapes of the 1990s for inspiration and direction and the ambient electronica and pastoral sounds of that era nestle neatly alongside more punchy techno patterns throughout. Tracks such as Crystallization and The Mind Has No Time carry a light for that era, with their whispery chimes and subtle snatches of spoken word, while Sundial is a hugely satisfying slice of once-popular psych-techno.
