With the blockbuster movie comes the inevitable game, but sadly The Amazing Spiderman 2 doesn't live up to the promise of its title. There is little that's amazing about this other than the fact that a Spiderman game could be so lacklustre. The combat feels stilted and boring, and even web slinging through the city doesn't provide the thrill that it should. And as a next-gen game, I expected it to look far better than it does. But it's not all bad. You get a chance to play dress-up with everyone's friendly neighbourhood vigilante, and if you are a fan of the current film, there are some familiar enemies to tackle. Plus Spike Lee gets his customary cameo. Overall, though, I'd recommend you use your spider-sense and skip this.
