Here's an intriguing list. Quentin Tarantino has announced his 20 favourite films of 2010, and it's a pretty mainstream bunch. His top five are, in order, Toy Story 3, The Social Network, Animal Kingdom(an Australian crime drama), I Am Loveand Tangled.

What's particularly interesting is that Tarantino didn't find space in his top 20 for Sofia Coppola's Somewhere.Readers may recall that the Italian press cried foul when he awarded the top prize at the Venice Film Festival to the soporific drama. It was noted that Tarantino and Coppola used to date, and they remain friends. The King's Speechmade the top 20. So did Jackass 3D. But the film that he said "enchanted us from its first screening" was nowhere to be seen. You're not doing yourself any favours, Quentin old man.
