The heading, "IRTC warns stations against support for FF" in yesterday's editions may have been misleading. As the report stated, the Independent Radio and Television Commission's warning was in connection with the suggestion by the chairman of the Association of Independent Radio Stations that member stations should have a common policy of daily endorsements of Fianna Fail in the run up to the elections because it was the only party serious about helping independent local radio to develop.

The IRTC said any station endorsing any party in this way would be in breach of its contract.
