In the editions of November 8th, the European Diary by Patrick Smyth erroneously suggested that two controversial, deleted tables from a Commission report on competitiveness came originally from the European employers' confederation, UNICE. In fact a different, and uncontentious, UNICE table was dropped from the report because it was outdated.
