THE sale conducted by Oliver Usher of Kells, Co Meath, last Tuesday evening attracted such a large attendance that not everyone could gain entrance to the sales-room. Those who did manage to do so helped ensure solid prices, such as £2,000 for a Victorian table, £1,700 for a mahogany corner wardrobe and £620 and £500 respectively for two Georgian mahogany linen presses.
Next Saturday, Oliver Usher will be holding a retirement/clearance sale at Clonhaugh House, Ballinafid, Mullingar, whose owners are retiring from deer farming. As a result, along with furniture, books and paintings, there are also 350 deer included in this sale.
