REELNEWS:Har, har! Michael Bay, director of the cacophonous Transformersfranchise, has confirmed what many people already suspected: he replaced Megan Fox (pictured) for the latest film because she compared him to Hitler in an interview.

"He's like Napoleon and he wants to create this insane, infamous madman reputation," she said.

"He wants to be like Hitler on his sets, and he is. So he's a nightmare to work for but when you get him away from set, and he's not in director mode, I kind of really enjoy his personality."

The backtracking in the latter section of the interview satisfied neither Mr Bay nor his producer Steven Spielberg. The director commented: " 'You know the Hitler thing?' Steven said. 'Fire her right now.' " Touchy, touchy.
