Happy birthday to the distinguished painter and Aosdána Saoi, Patrick Scott who celebrated his 90th birthday on Monday with family and friends at his home in Baggot Lane.

He was presented with a square white cake topped with a perfect gold sphere made by photographer Lois Crighton and designers Lucy Downes and Cyane Kingston. As old as the State, here's to many more golden years. PATSEY MURPHY
