Herbal cannabis worth €2.2 million was seized in Lifford, Co Donegal, on Tuesday in a joint operation by the Garda and Revenue.
Two men in their 30s have been arrested, gardaí said on Tuesday.
Approximately 112kg of the drug was seized as part of the intelligence led operation conducted by the Garda National Drugs and Organised Crime Bureau and Donegal Divisional Drugs Unit and Revenue’s Custom Service.
The two men are being detained under Section 2 of the Criminal Justice (Drug Trafficking) Act 1996 at a Garda station in the northwest region.

Gardaí said their investigations are ongoing.
Revenue said the seizure is part of its ongoing joint investigations involving organised crime groups and the importation, sale and supply of illegal drugs.
