Seven second-level students have been named winners of the Irish Permanent Young Manager of the Year Awards organised by Young Enterprise Ireland. The awards aim to identify individuals who have demonstrated business acumen in a company set up while participating in the Young Enterprise Ireland Company Programme.

The winners are: Mr Darragh O'Keefe, Middleton CBS, Cork; Ms Sanchia Connolly, Bundoran, Co Donegal; Ms Carol Reynolds, Loreto College, Cavan Town; Ms Aisling Kiely, Ursuline Convent Secondary School, Charleville, Co Cork; Ms Laura Connolly, St Louis Secondary School, Monaghan; Mr Brian Carroll, John the Baptist School, Co Limerick; and Ms Patricia Tighe, Scoil Dara, Kilcock.
