A number of Irish firms have been hit this week by a computer worm disguised as a movie attachment, writes Karlin Lillington.

The Creative virus, also called the Shockwave and Pro-Linux virus, affects users of Microsoft's Outlook and Outlook Express email programs.

It does not damage any files on the recipient's computer, but can overload company mail systems and cause them to crash.
