WorldCom Ireland, which employs 200 people in the Republic, posted a 57 per cent increase in second quarter revenues, to help its parent company deliver earnings, before interest, taxes, depreciation and amortisation, of $2.7 billion.

The company also said it opened a $35 million international data centre at Clonshaugh in north county Dublin to provide network co-location facilities and fully managed web hosting services for WorldCom's customers in the Republic.
