Professional services firms PwC and Deloitte have appointed a number of new partners to drive growth across the firms.
PwC, Ireland's largest accountancy firm according to Top1000.ie,with fee income of € 329 million for 2014, has appointed eight new partners across a range of industry sectors. In financial services, Brian Leonard has become a partner in the firm's banking and capital markets practice, and Mary Ruane in the asset management practice.
Féilim Harvey has become a partner in the firm’s consulting practice, and Andy Banks in the risk assurance practice where he will lead the delivery of internal audit services to clients.
In transaction services, Deirdre McGrath has become a partner, advising on acquisition strategy, buy-side and sell-side due diligence, transaction structuring and related advisory services.
Paul Barrie becomes a partner providing audit and related services to multinational and indigenous businesses, while John Murphy is a partner providing tax consulting and compliance services to domestic businesses.
Finally, Ronan Finn is a partner in the firm’s transfer pricing practice, advising multinational companies on all transfer pricing matters and, in particular, the impact of the OECD’s Base Erosion and Profit Shifting (BEPS) action plan on global profit alignment, cross-border tax planning and dispute resolution.
At fellow professional services firm Deloitte, Ireland’s third largest accountancy firm with annual fee income of close to €200m, eight senior professionals were also appointed as partners of the firm.
Sean Smith and Eileen Healy are newly appointed partners in the risk advisory department; Niamh Geraghty and Darren Griffin in the audit department, both with a particular focus on financial services; Daryl Hanberry and Karen Frawley in the tax department; and David Reynolds and Peter Kearney are partners within the firm’s consulting department.
