The Margin is not quite sure in which particular world 200 people is considered an intimate grouping. But that's the argument forwarded by the organisers of First Tuesday, the monthly networking group established in September for Ireland's Internet digerati, who fear larger numbers mean members can't give and get good teteatete.

The group used a lottery system to limit attendence to 200 at the second meeting after 220 turned up for the launch. It seems too many people yearn for the chance to make that key contact that might bring Web riches.
