A website that is said to be the first in Ireland to feature a searchable database of veterinary terms and information, www.apha.ie, will be launched today.

The online compendium is intended to facilitate the safe use of animal medicines. Pharmacists and wholesalers will be able to see the active ingredients and withdrawal times for all registered products, at the touch of a mouse.
