The Statistical and Social Inquiry Society of Ireland - SISSI for short - has just elected a new member to its council, one Michael G Tutty, second secretary of the Department of Finance.

Now presumably it's going to have to fill that vacancy again as Mr Tutty heads off to live in Luxembourg when he takes up his new position as vice-president of the European Investment Bank.
