Ryanair’s marketing boss limbers up for a run at Aer Lingus

Ryanair's marketing chief, Kenny Jacobs, is clearly desperate not to be outdone by Stephen Kavanagh, the commercial officer of Aer Lingus. So much so that Jacobs has promised to run a 12km race on an airport runway.... in his briefs.

You might remember last week we told how Kavanagh has agreed to do the charity run, to find the Fastest Airline in the World, in Budapest in September. It is organised by the aviation news website anna.aero.

The website's zany editor, Paul Hogan, was on this week to say the Ryanair exec wants to go toe-to-toe with his Aer Lingus rival in the race. Jacobs, a nifty marathon runner, has promised to run it wearing special Ryanair Speedos (inset, left). They look more like underpants to me. Have a look and decide for yourself.

“I might get some chafing over this distance and may need my legs rubbed with Vaseline,” Jacobs told Hogan.

TMI, Kenny, TMI....
