TransAer, the independent Irish charter airline, is to expand its European business with a new operation based at Cologne-Bonn airport.

It will start a new service from the airport on May 1st, providing capacity for German tour operators.

According to chief executive, Mr P.J. McGoldrick, some 40 people would be employed by TransAer Cologne.
