West Coast living with the Wild Atlantic Way App

Now is a good time to check out Failte Ireland's Wild Atlantic Way app. Fresh from its Mobile Ireland award win at the eGovernment Awards, this iOS and Android app offers a beautifully designed and well-researched way to explore the Irish coastline from the northernmost point of Donegal to the southernmost tip of Cork. There are 160 discovery points and 150 "Hidden Gems", which are tourist tips sourced from locals, e.g. a trip to Foynes, the birthplace of the Irish Coffee and home to the Flying Boat and Maritime Museum. With the "Hidden Gems" notification switched on you'll get an alert when one is nearby.
